The Climate Action Knowledge Engine, CAKE, is an initiative by the Global Covenant of Mayors, designed to connect climate practitioners in cities and municipalities with curated, actionable knowledge for sustainability and climate planning. CAKE brings together research, case studies and practical tools from trusted sources, and presents them in formats that are easier to navigate, understand and apply in local climate action work. CAKE is currently under development but presented publicly as a prototype.

CAKE aims to change that by unlocking the valuable climate knowledge often hidden within scientific papers and reports. Rather than just generating an AI response, CAKE acts as a gateway to a trusted climate knowledge ecosystem.
