I4C26 Digital Poster Exhibition: Showcasing urban climate solutions from around the world

The 2026 Innovate4Cities Conference (I4C26) digital poster exhibition brings together examples of research, innovation and practical approaches that are helping cities respond to climate change. Featuring contributions from organizations working across research, policy and practice, the exhibition showcases projects, tools, methodologies and initiatives addressing urban challenges including housing and infrastructure, resilience, digital innovation, equity and climate finance.

Featuring contributions from organizations including the United Nations Environment Programme, C40 Cities, and the African Cities Research Consortium, the exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the work of organizations and practitioners around the world, discover different approaches to urban climate action, and learn how knowledge and experience are being translated into practical solutions for cities. Together, the 20 posters demonstrate the range of approaches being developed and implemented by cities, researchers, governments, practitioners and communities around the world.

The exhibition also includes contributions from universities, showcasing the perspectives, ideas and experiences of young people engaging with urban climate challenges. These posters brought additional perspectives to the exhibition and highlighted the diverse ways that younger generations are thinking about the future of cities.

This digital edition was first presented as a physical exhibition at the 2026 Innovate4Cities Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, where participants were invited to explore these contributions alongside discussions, workshops and sessions focused on advancing urban climate action.

Co-hosted by the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) and UN-Habitat from 21–24 June 2026, I4C26 brought together more than 1,200 participants from around the world, including city leaders, researchers, policymakers, businesses, civil society and communities.

This digital exhibition ensures that the ideas and experiences shared through I4C26 remain accessible beyond the Conference, providing a resource for those interested in exploring practical approaches to addressing climate challenges in cities.
