Montréal is a city actively confronting the realities of climate change, experiencing challenges such as heat waves, flooding, and freeze-thaw cycles. In response, Montréal has committed to a sustainable future with its Climate Plan 2020-2030, which outlines 26 strategic measures to achieve carbon neutrality.
This proactive approach and dedication to environmental stewardship make Montréal a fitting host for the Innovate4Cities Conference, aligning with our goal of fostering innovative and cross-sector solutions to urban climate challenges.
With the leading role that Innovate4Cities has in curating knowledge on cities and climate change science, there will be ample opportunity for discovery and meaningful exchanges for those attending the 2024 Innovate4Cities Conference in person.
Participants in Montréal will have the choice of over 100 sessions, ranging from 20 to 30 minutes, to explore the full spectrum of topics related to climate science and cities, while the 60-minute deep dives and networking sessions will allow for in-depth discussions on the critical challenges and solutions in fostering sustainable, climate-resilient cities. Limited sessions will be streamed online.
