Cities have access to growing amounts of climate information, yet translating knowledge into implementation remains a persistent challenge. This session explores how the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN) is addressing that challenge through the Third Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities (ARC3.3) and the City Solutions Case Study Atlas (City CSA). Drawing on perspectives from Copenhagen, Enschede, Mexico City, and Mombasa, panelists will discuss how cities are using climate science, decision-support tools, and science-policy partnerships to inform urban mitigation, adaptation, and resilience strategies.
The open discussion will connect these insights with tangible city solutions and case studies that demonstrate how climate information is being applied through policies, projects, and investments in different development contexts.
Note to audience participants: UCCRN encourages you to come to this conversation with a city solution case example in mind. We would like to hear from participants during the discussion part of the session.
